Scene to read · Resilience, Collaboration
Zero in seven days
You built an online bread-baking course with a friend.
You and your friend Florian spent six months and much of your savings on the course. It launched a week ago, and nobody has signed up. In Florian's spare-room office, beside the webcam you filmed with, he and his partner, Adnan, who ran a shop for forty years, sit with you.
The scene
Florian: Zero in seven days. Hosting renews Friday. I say we close it.
Adnan: My shop sold nothing its first month. Nothing sells in week one, Florian.
Florian: Your shop had a street. We have no audience and no money left.
Adnan: Then one more month, and a plan. It's half yours. What do you say?
The two questions
- 1What would you say to Florian and Adnan?
- 2How do you tell the difference between giving up too early and holding on too long?
What raters look for
- Resilience
- Recovers from setbacks, manages stress constructively, and learns from failure.
- Collaboration
- Works toward a shared goal, shares credit and load, and repairs friction inside a team.
