How Casper practice works

A quick set takes about 20 minutes. You leave knowing where you stand and exactly what to change.

  1. 1

    Watch the scene

Short video scenes play once, like the real test. Written scenarios come with the same timers.

  2. 2

    Answer on the clock

One minute for each recorded answer and 3.5 minutes to type each pair. The timers are what trip people up, so you practise them.

  3. 3

Get your quartile and a stronger answer

An estimated quartile, a 1–9 score on each answer, and your own answer rewritten the way a top-quartile answer sounds.

Your answer, upgraded

Casper never shows you what a better answer sounds like. Confetto rewrites your own answer into a stronger one and shows exactly what changed.

Card declined. You're a cashier. A young mother's card has been declined twice, and the line behind her is long.

Get your own answer upgraded

What would you do?

Your answer 5.0 / 9

I would tell her not to worry and take off some of the snacks so the total goes down. Then I would ask the man to be patient.

Your answer, upgraded

I would speak quietly so I don't embarrass Grace further. Rather than deciding for her, I'd ask whether she wants to take anything off, or suspend the sale so she can step aside and call her bank. I would politely ask the man to be patient and serve everyone as quickly as I can.

What changed

  • Asks Grace what to remove, so she keeps control.
  • Adds a private option: pause the sale and call the bank.
  • Keeps attention off Grace when answering the man.

What Casper applicants say

Applicants who practised Casper on Confetto, in their own words.

Lena R.
Moved from an estimated 2nd to 4th quartile

I knew what Casper was testing, but I kept running out of time and my answers felt scattered. Confetto forced me to practice on the actual timers and showed me exactly where my reasoning was too one-sided.

After a few weeks, I was much faster at acknowledging different perspectives and getting to a clear answer without rushing.

Marcus T.
Completed 14 full-length Casper simulations

The biggest thing for me was the video section. I could write a decent answer, but answering clearly on camera in one minute was completely different.

Confetto helped me stop rambling, organize my thoughts faster, and get comfortable responding with almost no preparation time.

Anika D.
Improved average response score from 5.8 to 7.6 / 9

I used to think Casper answers were basically common sense. Once I saw the feedback on each response, I realized I was missing perspectives, making assumptions, and jumping to solutions too quickly.

The scoring made my weaknesses really obvious. I started slowing down, gathering more information first, and explaining why I would take each step.

Practiced 100+ Casper scenarios

Confetto became part of my routine for the month before my test. I would do a few scenarios every night and immediately see what I could have handled better.

The most useful feedback was when it showed me that my answer sounded reasonable but didn't actually address everyone affected by the situation.

Sofia L.
Reached a consistent estimated 4th quartile

My first few practice tests were rough because I spent way too much time trying to write the perfect answer. Confetto taught me how to make a strong point quickly, explain my reasoning, and move on.

By test day, the timers felt normal instead of stressful. I already knew exactly how I wanted to approach each type of scenario.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Casper practice, scoring and the 30-day pass, answered.

There's nothing to memorize, but practice helps with what trips most people up: the timers, answering on camera, and structuring a fair answer fast. Raters score how you reason, so rehearsing realistic scenarios and reading feedback on each answer is the most direct way to improve.
No. Programs in medicine, nursing, PA, dentistry, pharmacy, therapy, teaching and more ask for Casper, and the test works the same way for all of them. So does the practice.
Yes. It follows the format Acuity Insights publishes for the current cycle: 4 video-response scenarios, then 7 typed-response scenarios, 2 questions each, with 1 minute per recorded answer and 3.5 minutes per typed pair, plus the optional breaks.
Most real Casper scenarios are short filmed scenes. Ours are AI-generated from real photos and written by Confetto, about 20 seconds each. They play once, with captions and a transcript, so you practise reacting to a scene you can't replay.
Every answer gets a score from 1 to 9, the scale Casper raters use, with notes on the competencies it shows, specific tips, and what a top-quartile answer would do differently.
It's a practice signal, not a prediction. The real test compares you with everyone who took the same test; Confetto turns your average score into an estimated quartile so you can see where you stand and what to fix.
One to three weeks is enough for most people. Take a full timed test early to find your weak spots, drill those with quick sets, then take another full test a few days before your date.
For the video-response section, yes. Use a laptop or desktop with Chrome, Edge or Safari, like the real test, and allow camera and microphone access. The typed-response drill works without a camera.
One quick Casper set: 2 video-response and 3 typed-response scenarios, an estimated quartile, and one of your answers rewritten stronger. No card needed. The day-by-day plan, typing trainer and study notes are free for everyone.
Full timed practice tests, all 110 scenarios, unlimited scored sets, and every answer upgraded, for 30 days. It's $29 once, not a subscription, so nothing renews.
No. Confetto Interviews plans include Casper Prep, so one plan covers Casper now and mock interviews when invites arrive.
