That's just Russ

You are co-captain of a weekly bowling league team.

The captain, Russ, has gone home. In the seating area by the lane, teammates Hema and Marcelo, who bowls from his wheelchair, are talking about Russ's sharp comments on missed frames. Two newer members left early again tonight.

The scene

Hema: He called Jo's game embarrassing, out loud. She left before the last frame.

Marcelo: That's Russ. He's ribbed me for ten years and I give it back.

Hema: You've had ten years. Jo's had three weeks. Talk to him before next match.

Marcelo: Make it official and you'll sour the whole team. Leave it alone.

The two questions

  1. 1What would you say to Hema and Marcelo, and would you raise it with Russ?
  2. 2How can a person tell when teasing has stopped being harmless?

What raters look for
