The ridge trail alibi
You are at a climbing gym with your close friend Tomasz and his partner, Jia, whom you know well.
Last week Tomasz confided that he has been secretly seeing someone else. Now, resting on the mats between climbs, Jia brings up last Saturday, a day you spent at home on your own.
The scene
Jia: Tomasz said you two hiked all Saturday. Funny, neither of you mentioned it before.
Tomasz: It was a last-minute thing. Tell her, we got back late.
Jia: I'm not trying to trap anyone. I just want a straight answer.
Tomasz: Come on. Saturday, the ridge trail. Right?
