Scene to read · Professionalism, Ethics
Who told the cousins?
You and your brother, Mansour, are co-executors of your late grandmother's estate.
Neither of you wants her house sold, but the lawyer says the estate may need the money. Sorting papers at her kitchen table, Mansour has just admitted that he told the cousins about your private executor talks to stir up opposition to a sale. Then your uncle Kwame walks in.
The scene
Kwame: The cousins are calling me about a sale. Those talks were private. Who told them?
Mansour: Does it matter? They'd have found out. It's their grandmother's house too.
Kwame: It matters. Half the family thinks I'm hiding things from them now.
Mansour: Let it go, Kwame. It's done, and nobody here meant any harm. Right?
The two questions
