Sign where it says verified

You are a new volunteer in a hospital's lost-and-found office.

Belongings may be released only after a photo ID check, which the volunteer on duty signs for in the logbook. Boaz, visibly upset, says his brother is being transferred to another hospital in ten minutes, and his own wallet is in a car at the far end of the lot. Your supervisor, Imelda, has run this office for twenty years.

The scene

Boaz: Black backpack, blue keychain, his glasses in the front pocket. Please, they're loading him now.

Imelda: That's the bag. I saw you visiting him Tuesday. Here, go.

Boaz: Thank you. Thank you. I'd have missed him getting my ID.

Imelda: Sign the log where it says ID verified, would you? I'll explain the form later.

The two questions

  1. 1What would you do, and what would you say to Imelda?
  2. 2Describe a time someone with more authority asked you to do something you were not comfortable with. What did you do?
