Camping, again
You are the friend who usually organizes your group's trips, and you are planning a long weekend away.
In the group chat of five friends, three vote for camping. Two others say they can't afford tents and sleeping gear, and one of them can only take Friday off if the trip is short. Last time, the majority vote also left these same two out, and they went quiet. Booking spots closes in two days, and everyone expects you to settle it.
The two questions
- 1What would you do, and why?
- 2How do you decide when a group should follow the majority and when it should change the plan so everyone can take part?
What raters look for
- Problem solving
- Gathers facts before acting, considers options and consequences, and chooses a workable next step.
- Empathy
- Recognizes what others feel and need, and lets that shape the response without losing judgment.
