Whose photos get kept?
You are the volunteer who maintains your hobby club's shared online photo archive.
You took over the archive two years ago, and no one else checks it. While searching for a photo for the anniversary newsletter, you notice that you have carefully tagged, captioned and color-corrected the pictures you personally like, while photos from other members sit untagged or in the wrong folders. Some of those members have belonged to the club for years. The archive is the club's main record of its history, and you could correct it quietly, tell the club first, or do something else.
The two questions
- 1What would you do about the archive, and what would you tell the club, if anything?
- 2How do you decide when to correct a mistake quietly and when to be open about it?
What raters look for
- Self-awareness
- Recognizes own biases, limits and emotions, and seeks and uses feedback.
- Motivation
- Shows genuine, sustained drive and a clear reason for choices, including when work is unglamorous.
