Personal question · Collaboration, Equity

Fast, or everyone?

Co-captains, co-chairs and joint organizers rarely want quite the same thing. One wants the drill run briskly with the strongest people on the floor; the other wants every member to get a turn, even if the session runs long.

The two questions

  1. 1Tell us about a time you shared responsibility for a team or group with someone whose priorities clashed with yours, for example over moving quickly versus including everyone. Where did you stand?
  2. 2Describe the arrangement the two of you reached, and who in the group gained or lost from it.

What raters look for

Collaboration
Works toward a shared goal, shares credit and load, and repairs friction inside a team.
Equity
Notices unequal access or treatment and acts fairly, especially for people with less power.
