I work better under pressure

You are paired with a classmate for a presentation worth 30 percent of your grade.

Tyler is reliable and did excellent work on your last assignment together, but he always finishes at the last minute. Five days before the presentation, you meet in a campus study room. You have drafted your half; he plans to write his the night before and rehearse together only once, an hour before class.

What's said in the scene

Tyler: Here is my outline. I'll write the rest Thursday.

Tyler: Relax. I always do my best work the night before. I've never missed a deadline.

Tyler: Why does it matter how I get there, as long as it's done? Honestly, what's the problem?

The two questions

  1. 1How would you respond to Tyler?
  2. 2Describe a time you worked with someone whose working style was very different from yours. How did you make it work?
