Personal question · Collaboration, Self-awareness

Who gave way

Two teammates can each have a workable method for the same task when only one can be used. Either someone gives way, or the two of them have to find a way to choose.

The two questions

  1. 1Tell us about a time you clashed with a teammate over how a shared task should be done. How was it decided whose method to use, and how did you handle yourself in the moment?
  2. 2What was the cost of that decision to the task or to the two of you, and what would you change about what you did if it happened again?

What raters look for

Collaboration
Works toward a shared goal, shares credit and load, and repairs friction inside a team.
Self-awareness
Recognizes own biases, limits and emotions, and seeks and uses feedback.
