The job includes the video
You earn weekend money doing chores at your aunt's backyard chicken coop and egg stand.
Last week you refused to wear a sombrero and a fake mustache in your aunt Giulia's promo video for the stand, saying the costume mocked people. While you and your cousin Ximena collect eggs at the coop, Giulia explains the new schedule.
The scene
Giulia: Ximena's taking your weekend hours. The job includes the video now.
Ximena: I didn't ask for this. I'll split the hours with you if you drop it.
Giulia: It's a joke, on my stand, with my money. Nobody's forcing anyone.
Ximena: Half the hours is better than none. So, do we have a deal?
The two questions
- 1How would you respond to Giulia and Ximena?
- 2When someone is within their rights to do something you believe is wrong, how do you decide whether to challenge it?
What raters look for
- Equity
- Notices unequal access or treatment and acts fairly, especially for people with less power.
- Professionalism
- Is reliable, respects boundaries and confidentiality, and holds a consistent standard under pressure.
