Scene to read · Professionalism, Communication
Wrong island
You are a passenger buying a ticket at a ferry terminal during the morning rush.
A long line stands behind you. The new clerk, Thanh, printed your ticket for the wrong island and apologized. His supervisor, Femi, has come to the window to reissue it.
The scene
Femi: Wrong island again? Third one this morning, and that boat leaves in six minutes.
Thanh: Sorry. The screen froze and I picked the wrong line.
Femi: The screen's fine. Everyone's watching you learn on their time. Here's your ticket. Anything else I can fix?
The two questions
- 1What would you do or say, and why?
