Scene to read · Self-awareness, Professionalism
Which two?
You are an event planner who volunteered to run five projects this season.
Two of your five projects, a charity gala and a product launch, have slipped badly; they are also the two you care about most. At the agency's planning wall, your boss, Olivia, and your coworker Zofia are waiting for your answer.
The scene
Olivia: Five was too many, and I let you. Two go to Zofia by Friday.
Zofia: I'll take any two. The small ones would be quicker to hand over.
Olivia: The gala and the launch are the ones that slipped. I'd move those.
Zofia: But those clients know you. Which two do you want to give me?
The two questions
- 1Which projects would you hand over, and what would you say to Olivia and Zofia?
- 2How do you recognize when you have taken on more than you can do well?
What raters look for
- Self-awareness
- Recognizes own biases, limits and emotions, and seeks and uses feedback.
- Professionalism
- Is reliable, respects boundaries and confidentiality, and holds a consistent standard under pressure.
