A two for Wren
You are one of four art students who printed a screen-print edition together.
The instructor's peer evaluation forms are due at the end of class. In the print studio, your partners Chayton and Margaux are filling theirs in beside the drying rack. The fourth partner, Wren, is out today; you saw her stay late burning most of the screens, and you are not sure the registration guides you taped down for her were square.
The scene
Margaux: Chayton and I are both putting Wren at two out of five. Twenty prints, ruined.
Chayton: I stayed until midnight redoing her layers. She never even said sorry.
Margaux: A two only sticks if all three of us agree.
Chayton: You're quiet. You think two's too low?
The two questions
- 1What would you say to Chayton and Margaux, and what score would you give Wren?
- 2Describe a time you had to judge a teammate's contribution when you did not have the full picture. What did you do?
What raters look for
- Collaboration
- Works toward a shared goal, shares credit and load, and repairs friction inside a team.
- Empathy
- Recognizes what others feel and need, and lets that shape the response without losing judgment.
