The same black suitcase

You are a traveler waiting at an airport baggage carousel.

Chidi and Bradley, two passengers from your flight, each have a hand on the same unlabeled black suitcase. Its zippers are sealed with a plastic security tie that only the baggage desk can cut, and neither kept a claim stub. You were beside the belt and saw Chidi lift it off, but nothing you saw shows whose it is.

The scene

Chidi: It's mine. My connection boards in thirty minutes, I have to run.

Bradley: It's mine, same scuffed corner. The desk can cut the seal and settle it.

Chidi: That line's twenty minutes! Take my number. If I'm wrong, I'll ship it back.

Bradley: My laptop's in there. You were standing right here. What did you see?

The two questions

  1. 1What would you say to Chidi and Bradley?
  2. 2Describe a time you were pulled into a disagreement between other people. What part did you play?
