Buying the course test bank
You are in a weekly study group for a difficult pharmacology course.
Your group of four has met every week this term. One member found the publisher's test bank for your textbook openly for sale online for $40, and your quizzes seem to come from it. The syllabus says nothing about test banks, and the instructor has never mentioned them. The group wants to split the cost and study from it together before the final, which is worth half the grade, and they are counting on your share.
The two questions
- 1What would you say to your study group, and why?
- 2When a rule does not cover a situation, how do you decide whether something is fair?
A sample answer, and how to improve it
A typical first attempt at question 1 scores 6.5 on the 1–9 scale raters use. Confetto's Casper coach rewrites it line by line to 7.5, with the reason for each change.

- Ethics
- Weighs competing duties honestly, protects people from harm, and stays accountable to rules and values.
- Collaboration
- Works toward a shared goal, shares credit and load, and repairs friction inside a team.
