Nowhere to take it

You are a parishioner who stopped by the church hall to lend a hand.

An appeal for donated clothes brought in ten times what anyone planned for, and bags cover the floor of the hall. Uche, the caretaker, and Hanh, who ran the appeal and has a prosthetic hand, both turn to you.

The scene

Uche: There's a wedding setup at seven tomorrow. This floor's clear tonight.

Hanh: The shelter takes one vanload. We've got ten, and nowhere else.

Uche: Then it goes outside under a tarp, rain or not.

Hanh: Outside? It'll be ruined by morning, and people trusted us with it. Help me think. Any ideas?

The two questions

  1. 1What would you suggest to Uche and Hanh?
  2. 2When there is more to do than time allows, how do you decide what gets done first?
