The concert flyers have the wrong date

You are co-organising a charity concert for a local literacy program.

The concert is in ten days. You and your co-organiser, Mira, are at the venue to check the stage when she notices a problem with the flyers and the online ticket page, which went out two weeks ago. The venue manager is with you.

What's said in the scene

Mira: The flyers say Saturday the 14th. We booked Sunday the 15th. We've sold a hundred and fifty tickets.

Venue manager: Saturday's a wedding. I can't move it, sorry.

Mira: (to you) Okay. What do we do?

The two questions

  1. 1What would you do?
  2. 2What makes a public correction or apology effective?

What raters look for

Problem solving
