Casper scenario · Written scenario · Professionalism, Ethics
Harassment she asked you not to report
You are a shift lead at a distribution warehouse.
Over the past month, a senior coworker has repeatedly commented on a new employee's body and kept asking her out after she said no. Today she tells you about it, but asks you not to report it: she is still on probation, and the last person who complained about him was moved to night shifts. Company policy says leads should raise concerns with HR but leaves the decision to them. She says she will handle it herself.
The two questions
- 1What would you do, and why?
- 2When should you act on someone's behalf against their wishes?
A sample answer, and how to improve it
A typical first attempt at question 1 scores 6 on the 1–9 scale raters use. Confetto's Casper coach rewrites it line by line to 8, with the reason for each change.
See the sample answerWhat raters look for
- Professionalism
- Is reliable, respects boundaries and confidentiality, and holds a consistent standard under pressure.
- Ethics
- Weighs competing duties honestly, protects people from harm, and stays accountable to rules and values.
