BeMo vs Shemmassian vs MedSchoolCoach for Med School Interviews (2026)

Three interview coaches side by side, from their own pages: what each sells, price, session length, who runs the mocks, guarantees and refunds. We make Confetto.

BeMo sells programs, a video course plus 3 or unlimited live mocks, priced in Canadian dollars. MedSchoolCoach sells one-hour mocks with physicians, from $500. Shemmassian sells 90‑minute rounds tailored to one school, from $599. Each fits a different kind of applicant.

We make Confetto. Confetto is not in this comparison.

Which coach fits which need?

You want an expert to keep working with you all season
BeMo. Platinum and Titanium list unlimited mocks through the current season.
You want feedback in French, or many formats in one program
BeMo. Its pricing page offers English or French, across MMI, panel, MPI and video formats.
You want a physician in every mock
MedSchoolCoach. It says every advisor is a physician with admissions committee experience.
You want one or two mocks with different interviewers
MedSchoolCoach. One hour costs $500, and packs from 2 sessions include varying interviewers.
You want long feedback on each answer
Shemmassian. Each 90‑minute round spends 50 to 60 minutes on feedback, answer by answer.
You want the mock built around one school
Shemmassian. Its plans say each session is customized to the school that invited you.

BeMo vs Shemmassian: what is the difference?

BeMo is a program you join: Gold is CAD $1,997 for 3 mocks, and its two top tiers keep going until its experts say you are ready, within the season. Shemmassian is a session you book: $599 for one 90-minute round, about half of it feedback, tailored to the school that invited you. If you want ongoing practice with one firm, BeMo is built for that. If you want one or two deep, school-specific sessions, Shemmassian is.

BeMo vs MedSchoolCoach: what is the difference?

Both run live mocks by video with feedback right after. BeMo bundles its mocks with a strategy video course and a money back guarantee with conditions. MedSchoolCoach sells the hour on its own, at $500 for one or $1,400 for four, with a physician in every session and the option to record it. It runs an MMI as four short stations.

BeMo's guarantee conditions and AI rule

BeMo's guarantee page lists conditions such as buying a qualifying package, getting at least one interview invite, starting at least 4 weeks before your first interview and following its experts' instructions. If you qualify and are not accepted, you can claim a refund within 5 days of your admissions results or repeat the program once free. BeMo guarantee page

The same page says all BeMo guarantees are "null and void" if a student used AI without BeMo's prior approval.

Refund terms, in each company's words

BeMo: refunds only within 5 days of purchase and only if services were not used, with a 30% administration fee. Later cancellations become BeMo credits. BeMo FAQ

MedSchoolCoach: refund requests within 30 days of purchase, none for services already provided, amount set by MedSchoolCoach, 5% processing fee. After 30 days, cancellations become credits. Give 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Terms of service

Shemmassian: a full refund of unused services if the agreement ends within 14 days, non-refundable after that. Pack prices apply only when you buy the rounds up front. Conditions of Service

Is MedSchoolCoach interview prep worth it?

It is worth it if you want a physician with admissions committee experience to run a realistic hour, half questions and half feedback. Its page says 96% of its students earned acceptances after three or more mock interviews, which is its own figure. It is less of a fit if you want a mock built around one school: its FAQ says its prep aims to make you a great interviewee in general.

What are the other options?

Other coaches list one mock for $375 to $750 on their own pages (see what interview prep costs). AI interviewers let you practice out loud as often as you like. Confetto is an AI mock interviewer for medical school and other healthcare program interviews (MMI, traditional, panel). Every plan has unlimited mock interviews, from $149 a week, and the free trial lasts a week. Free options include your pre‑health office and the SDN AI Interview Coach, with 10 sessions a month on a standard account.

Frequently asked questions

BeMo or Shemmassian for med school interviews?

They sell different things. BeMo sells programs: CAD $1,997 for 3 mocks with a video course, or unlimited mocks for the season from CAD $3,997. Shemmassian sells $599 rounds of 90 minutes, tailored to one school. Pick BeMo for ongoing practice with one firm, Shemmassian for a few long, school-specific sessions.

How much does MedSchoolCoach interview prep cost?

On October 16, 2026, its interview page listed $500 for one 1-hour mock, $900 for two, $1,200 for three and $1,400 for four ($350 each). Its FAQ says most students get the most from two or three mocks.

Is MedSchoolCoach interview prep worth it?

It fits if you want a physician with admissions committee experience to run a realistic hour, with half of it spent on feedback. It is less of a fit if you want a mock built around one school, since its FAQ says its prep makes you a great interviewee in general, not for one school.

Can I use AI practice tools alongside these coaches?

Check BeMo first. Its money back guarantee page says all BeMo guarantees are "null and void" if a student used AI without BeMo's prior approval. Shemmassian's and MedSchoolCoach's interview pages say nothing about AI tools.

Is this page a review of BeMo, Shemmassian or MedSchoolCoach?
