When Do Casper Scores Come Out? 2026-27 Release Dates

Programs receive your Casper results about 2 to 3 weeks after your test, and you can see your quartile about 4 to 5 weeks after it, according to Acuity Insights, the company that runs Casper. Acuity emails you when your quartile is ready, but not when programs receive your results, so check your Reservations page for “Completed - Results delivered.”

When do Casper scores come out?

There are two release dates, and programs come first. Acuity's applicant guide says: “Casper results are directly distributed to your selected programs 2-3 weeks after the test. Your quartile score will be available 4-5 weeks after test completion.” Its advisor page rounds the second number: “Approximately one month after taking it, applicants will receive their test quartile”. Treat the 4 to 5 weeks as the more exact figure, because the quartile help page gives it too.

Acuity sends results itself. “they are not delivered through a portal (e.g., AMCAS, CASPA, TMDSAS, etc.).” You do not upload anything, with one exception: CaRMS. Add a program later and “your results will be sent to the new program within 1 business day”, once the first 2 to 3 weeks have passed.

When will my Casper results come out, by test date?

Why do Casper scores take weeks?

People score it. Acuity says “each scenario is scored by a different rater.” Then “The resulting scores are standardized to represent the relative rankings of each applicant compared to the applicant pool.” We found no faster or paid scoring option in Acuity's help pages. For how the ratings work, see how Casper is scored.

How do I check if my Casper score was sent?

Log in to Acuity Insights, open Reservations and read your test status. “If it shows "Completed - Results delivered," your results have been successfully sent. If it shows "Completed - Results pending," your results are still in processing.” Don't wait for a message, because “Please note that Acuity Insights does not send email notifications for score delivery.” The first email only confirms that you finished: “You'll receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.”

For your quartile, “You will be notified by email when your quartile score is ready. This usually happens around 4 to 5 weeks after the date of your test.” Open your completed Casper test in your account and select View quartile score.

CaRMS applicants: a different process

Acuity sends your score to CaRMS, not to each program. “You must then manually upload your Casper score to each CaRMS program that requires it.” The quartile is on its own schedule as well: “Your Casper quartile score will be available by December 15 of the current year.” You find it under Reservations, then View results, per Acuity. Check CaRMS for its own upload dates.

Adding a program after your test

On the Reservations page, click Edit distribution(s) under Actions, then Add a new distribution. If you don't see the option, zoom out with Ctrl or Cmd and the minus key. Per Acuity, the program must meet both conditions: “Are still accepting scores Require the same test type”.

What do Casper results look like?

You see one thing: which of four quartiles you placed in. “Currently, applicants do not receive their Casper score.” Programs get a single number, and it “does not include breakdowns by topic or area.” Typed and video answers count together: “These are combined into a single overall score”. Programs never read or watch your answers. “None of the applicants' responses are shared with programs.”

Quartile ranges from Acuity's advisor page. Each holds 25% of applicants.
QuartilePercentile range
1st0 to 24th percentile
2nd25th to 49th percentile
3rd50th to 74th percentile
4th75th to 100th percentile

Should I wait for my quartile before applying?

You don't have to, and timing rarely allows it. What matters is getting your test in on time for each program. Acuity's Dates and Fees page lists each program's final test date and distribution deadline. “Distribution deadlines are set by programs and may differ from their admission deadlines.” If you are applying to several, “they should select a date before the earliest program distribution deadline.” Open dates are in our Casper test dates guide.

Worked example. Test on November 12 and, by the ranges above, programs get your results between November 26 and December 3, and you see your quartile between December 10 and December 17. A school reviewing files in early December can already have your result before you know your quartile.

What if my Casper score has not reached a school?

  1. Check Reservations. If it still says Results pending and 3 weeks have not passed, it is still within Acuity's range.
  2. If it says Results delivered, give the school extra time. Per Acuity, a program's own portal can take longer to update.
  3. Compare your Acuity name, ID numbers, date of birth and email with your application. Make sure they “are correct and identical to those provided in your applications for admission as this may result in delays with your results being received by your programs.”
  4. Still stuck? Use the chat bubble in your Acuity account or email support@acuityinsights.app. “Response time: within 1 business day”.

What should I do after my Casper quartile comes out?

Keep going with your applications, whichever quartile you got. A 1st quartile result? Per Acuity, “This does not mean you failed”. “Most programs consider all quartiles and use Casper as one data point among many when reviewing applicants.” Its advisor page adds that “most schools do not use firm cutoffs or thresholds with Casper scores”. Some schools state their own policy, so check theirs.

Your score does not carry over forever. “Casper scores are valid for one year because the test content changes every year.” You can't retake the same test type in the same cycle unless Acuity confirms a reported technical problem, as our dates guide explains, so confirm your case with Acuity. Applying next year means a new test, and the prep plans here can help.

Practice while you wait

Interviews often follow, and they test many of the same skills. Try this scenario written by Confetto, then explore the scenario library, the practice test or the full Casper test guide. More is in our Casper prep hub and prep guide.

“You are a shift lead at a cafe. A coworker tells you she can't cover her closing shifts next week because of a family matter, and she asks you not to tell anyone. The manager is asking why the schedule changed. 1) What do you say to the manager? 2) How do you support your coworker?”

Casper scenarios have two questions. Set a one-minute timer and answer the first out loud, then the second. There is no single right answer, so show who you considered and why.

Example answer written by Confetto

1) I would tell the manager the schedule needs a change because of a personal matter, without sharing details, since those belong to my coworker. I would also come with a plan for covering the shifts, so the manager gets what they need to run the cafe. If the manager needs more, I would ask my coworker what she is comfortable sharing or suggest she speak with the manager herself.

2) I would check on her privately, ask what would help and offer to trade or find coverage. I would also let her know that the manager may be able to offer more support if she chooses to explain, while making clear that the choice is hers.

Frequently asked questions

How long do Casper results take?

Acuity Insights says programs receive results about 2 to 3 weeks after your test and your quartile is available about 4 to 5 weeks after it. The advisor page rounds the quartile wait to approximately one month. Acuity's applicant guide

Will I get an email when my Casper scores are sent?

No. Acuity does not email you when results reach programs, so check your Reservations page for Completed - Results delivered. You do get an email when your quartile is ready. How to check delivery

Why does my account say Results delivered if I can't see my quartile?

The two steps happen at different times. Results delivered means programs have your results, usually at 2 to 3 weeks. The View quartile score link appears later, usually at 4 to 5 weeks. Viewing your quartile

What if a school says it has not received my Casper score?

Confirm your status says Completed - Results delivered, give the school extra time to update its system, and check that your name, ID numbers, date of birth and email in Acuity match your application exactly. If it still looks wrong, contact Acuity support. Acuity's delivery help page

How fast does a program get my score if I add it later?

Within 1 business day, once the first 2 to 3 week period has passed. The program must still be accepting scores and must require the same test type you took. How results are sent

Should I wait for my quartile before applying?

No need to wait on that basis. Programs receive results before you see your quartile, and most do not use firm cutoffs. Plan around each program's final test date and distribution deadline instead. Acuity's Dates and Fees page

Can I see my actual Casper score?

No. Applicants see only a quartile, with no number, topic breakdown or feedback. Programs receive one combined score and do not see your typed or video responses. Acuity on seeing your score

Should I still apply with a 1st quartile Casper?

Yes, in most cases. Acuity says a 1st quartile does not mean you failed and that most programs consider all quartiles, using Casper as one data point among many. Check any stated policy at the schools you care about. What your quartile means
