Favors with a bill
You lend your tools to the whole row of townhouses and like to remind people of it.
In your family, neighbors kept careful track of who had helped whom. At your garage door, your neighbor Soraya is returning your ladder, and you have just joked that she now owes you help moving a sofa. Your close friend Fernanda is helping you sort shelves.
The scene
Soraya: Here's the ladder. Honestly? Your favors always come with a bill.
Fernanda: I mean, you did bring up the drill at my birthday.
Soraya: Where I'm from, you lend something and never mention it again.
Fernanda: I figured keeping score was just your way. Is it?
