Retype it as mine

You are a student pilot at a flight school.

Minutes before ground school, in the briefing room, your close friend Adaeze admits that her graded cross-country planning write-up was copied from an online pilot forum. The instructor has asked her for a corrected version today. Harleen, another student, is at the table.

The scene

Adaeze: Let me retype yours as my correction. Ten minutes, and nobody ever knows.

Harleen: Honestly, everyone here shares planning sheets. It's the flying that counts.

Adaeze: If he reports the copying, I lose my slot. I'd do it for you.

Harleen: He's walking in at nine. Whatever you're doing, decide now.

The two questions

  1. 1What would you say to Adaeze?
  2. 2What does loyalty to a friend require when they ask you to help cover a mistake?
